CELPIP (Canadian English Language Proficiency Index Program) is an English language proficiency test that is accepted by Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) for permanent residency and citizenship purposes. The CELPIP test assesses an individual’s listening, reading, writing, and speaking skills in English.

CELPIP offers two types of tests: CELPIP-General and CELPIP-General LS. The CELPIP-General test is used for permanent residency and citizenship purposes, while the CELPIP-General LS test is used for Canadian citizenship applications only. Both tests are computer-delivered and assess a candidate’s English language skills based on real-life situations.

The CELPIP – General evaluates test taker’s English listening, reading, writing, and speaking skills and is officially designated for permanent residence applications by Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC), and is also accepted for professional designations.

The CELPIP test is a Canadian English language proficiency test that assesses an individual’s ability to use English in real-life situations. It is used for immigration, citizenship, and employment purposes.

There are two types of CELPIP tests: CELPIP-General and CELPIP-General LS. The CELPIP-General test assesses the four language skills – listening, reading, writing, and speaking. The CELPIP-General LS test assesses only listening and speaking skills.

The CELPIP-General test takes approximately 3 hours to complete, while the CELPIP-General LS test takes approximately 1 hour and 10 minutes to complete.

The CELPIP-General test consists of four components: Listening (47-55 minutes), Reading (55-60 minutes), Writing (53-60 minutes), and Speaking (15-20 minutes). The CELPIP-General LS test consists of two components: Listening (47-55 minutes) and Speaking (15-20 minutes).

There is no limit to the number of times you can take the CELPIP test. However, you must wait at least 30 days between attempts.

The CELPIP test is offered at our London, Ontario test centre. You can also book your CELPIP test at other test centers across Canada and in select international locations.
