CELPIP (Canadian English Language Proficiency Index Program) is an English language proficiency test that is accepted by Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) for permanent residency and citizenship purposes. The CELPIP test assesses an individual’s listening, reading, writing, and speaking skills in English.
CELPIP offers two types of tests: CELPIP-General and CELPIP-General LS. The CELPIP-General test is used for permanent residency and citizenship purposes, while the CELPIP-General LS test is used for Canadian citizenship applications only. Both tests are computer-delivered and assess a candidate’s English language skills based on real-life situations.

How often can I take the CELPIP test?
There is no limit to the number of times you can take the CELPIP test. However, you must wait at least 30 days between attempts.
